A letter from Julia

  • Today I announced that with the support of Rob Oakeshott, Tony Windsor, Andrew Wilkie and Adam Bandt from the Australian Greens, Labor is prepared to govern Australia.

This election was one of the closest our nation has ever seen. It told us that the next government would be held more accountable than ever before and that there would be

With this in mind I began the task of forming government optimistic about our future. As I've said many times before – the best days of this country are in front of us, not behind us.

Ours will be a government with just one purpose – to serve the Australian people.

My government will be true to our principles and our beliefs, but we will also be pragmatic in developing effective policies and programs on the major issues that we face. [Here is Labor's agreements with the Independents and The Greens.]

We've weathered the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression. Our economy is the envy of the world. We have an opportunity to improve health services, invest in education, build the National Broadband Network. Now we can make progress in

Finally, I want to say thank you to Australians for their patience and support as our democracy has been tested over the past two weeks. I will always be working for this nation's future and stand ready to form the next Australian Government.

    Thank you.

The published agreements linked here seem to be somewhat materially different to the letters from Gillard to Oakeshott and Windsor published elsewhere which is where 'the pork' is revealed!

I may have become a grumpy old woman, but the only thing that comes out of Joolyas mouth is bullsh**t. Her sincerity level is zero!!
She will say and do anything, and hop into bed with anyone, for her own political gain.
She is not interested in the future of Australia, only her own self advancement.
Tony Abbott will be nipping at her heels for the next 3 years, and that will be great to watch!
Did you notice that Kerry O'Brien didnt congratulate her this evening on The 7.30 Report, he gave her that special grin.....you know.....the one he saves for idiots !!
Bring on the next election.

Gee, Mandy Moo, I hope you're enjoying those sour grapes. I thought Julia was quite sincere, and chastened, not to mention relieved.

I predict that she will do a good, steady job.

And Abbott won't be nipping at her heels - he'll be stalking her with a baseball bat, with the other thugs, shouting "We was robbed."

That's assuming, of course, that he can maintain his facade of rationality, and avoids being dragged away in a straitjacket!

anyone else notice the majority of people bagging (bitching) about Julia are other women?

Now now Mandy, if Abbott had gone into partnership with the three amigos, would you be saying the same thing about Abbott? Or do you only say things like "hop into bed with anyone" about women? Now think beyond the female genitalia, if you can! Abbott (the man) also tried to do a deal with the independents. Wasn't Abbott therefore, by your own reasoning, "only interested in his own self-advancement?" Or is narcissism restricted only to women?
Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Hehehe, I like teasing women when they refer to Val as "Aunty Val". Well, don't they bristle like a bunch of porkers about to attack when I call them "grey haired Auntys." Only the more intelligent amongst them have woken up to the fact that the "Aunty" tag is is a way of putting down women as a whole. Sad.

Thaddeus, you're darn right a lot of us are aware of the sly insinuation behind the "Aunty Val" tag which was of course the brainwave of that revolting little buggar, Gavin King.
