Community meetings for Barron River electorate

I'm a big supporter of public community meetings around election time.

Few sitting politicians like these, as they can be awkward or uncomfortable, even hostile, but they are import for the community to ask questions and debate in an open accountable forum.

Wendy Richardson, who is running for Barron River, has organised a number of community meetings. If you unsure about who you want to vote for on March 21st, then this is a good way to start answering some questions.

"I’d like to find out more about your needs and concerns and give you the opportunity to meet me and find out what I stand for," Richardson said.

9th March Kewarra Beach Community Hall 5.30pm – 6.30pm
14th March Kuranda CWA Hall 11am – 12noon
14th March Yorkey’s Knob Community Hall 5.30pm – 6.30pm
16th March Aeroglen Community Hall 8.00pm – 9.00pm
17th March Holloways Beach Hall 5.30pm – 6.30pm
19th March Smithfield Tavern 5.30pm – 6.30pm

"I believe strongly that a politician should be an active and accountable representative
for their community," Richardson says. "These meetings are just the start of what you can expect from me if I become the elected representative of Barron River."

"If you are unable to attend, please feel free to email or phone me."
