Beach goes bush for Knob festival

The 5th annual Festival of the Knob, at Yorkeys Knob, will be held next Saturday (Queen's Birthday weekend).

Held in the Knob's community centre grounds and parklands, (turn left into Wattle street off Varley) from 11am - 5pm, Saturady 6th June.

This year's theme is 'Beach goes bush', so you're welcome to wear your country 'n western outfit.

There'll be all-day entertainment, rides including the mechanical bucking bull and surfboard, gourmet food, along with 80 market stalls and displays.

In the early afternoon, come and see the annual Crowning of the King and Queen of the Knob by Mayor Val Schier, followed by the first public performance of the Out Loud Choir, and the arrival of Yorkey for the kids.

This is a great family day out, organised by the Yorkeys Knob Residents Association.

If you would like to help, or donate something for the bric a brac, email the committee
or telephone Maurice on 4055 7804.
