Tomorrow evening, the opening Cairns Festival parade kicks off at 6pm on the Esplanade.
I'm no weatherman (or is it weather-person these days?) but here we are, at the furthermost point from the so-called 'wet' season, either way, and it's looking like Scotland in the middle of summer.
If she's a kind gracious God, she won't rain on our parade. Maybe this is a sign from above about the next government?
