Put your dog and your wife [girlfriend / boyfriend / husband] in the boot of your car for an hour.
When you open it up, which one is really happy to see you?

I have tried this. It really does work. The dog wins every time.
Nice thought, but two problems. I don't have a dog, and my wife (successfully) resists being put in the boot. Does this mean I'm a failure as a man?
