Lost generation

Last year AARP, an American non-profit, non-partisan organisation that helps people over 50 to improve the quality of their lives, ran a youth video challenge.

LNP's David Gibson, member for Gympie, pointed me to the winning entry, following the 'U & 50' project, where 18 to 30 year-olds were asked to submit short videos about what they expect their lives to be like at age 50.

The project was to encourage inter-generational dialogue. The winning video, When I'm 50…by Ilya Polyakov, was very provocative. "This was sent to me for Easter," Gibson said. "It is an incredibly inspiring and uplifting clip."
