Snake Gully at Yorkeys

Blog follower, notable journalist and Cairns muso, Tony Hillier reminded me that the legendary band Snake Gully will be playing at Yorkeys Knob on Australia day this Saturday.

They'll be performing from 6.30am — surely a world record early start for a band!

Snake Gully are known as the flavour of the Australian Bush. Don't get confused by Sydney's Snake Gully. The Cairns folk have been around for 21 years, to their 10 years and have prior claim to the name!

The band has been together for nearly 20 years now after beginning in the Townsville Eisteddfod. They've played throughout Australia, Asia, and Europe. Snake Gully have toured Northern Europe, even playing in a 13th Century Estonian Castle.

But nothing will beat playing at the Knob, Yorkeys Knob.
