Death of a blogger

Andy Olmsted, a blogger at Obsidian Wings had been serving in Iraq since July last year, training up members of the Iraqi Army.

They have just blogged a post from him posthumously, that Andy supplied in the event of his death. He also blogged for Rocky Mountain News, which covers his death.

Andy's self-written farewell post, is very moving. It's very raw and a poignant reminder of the tragedy of war, regardless of one’s beliefs in its wisdom or necessity.
