The Cairns Post is undertaking a crime survey for the region, and you'll find the form in this weekend's paper. This will be mainly to gain a perspective of community attitudes and measure these against actual statistics.
Readers will have a couple of weeks to complete and return the survey.
It's a shame that this will not be made available online to fill in.
UPDATE:
Editor Mark Alexander says they'd love to have the survey online but "just not quite there in terms of their ability to carry it. Next year hopefully. The survey has proven popular and a very valuable tool for both us and police in past years, so the more opportunities to participate the better."
