Crime Stoppers update

Break and enter offenders arrested, Cairns:
Police charged two Woree men following an investigation into a break and enter offence that occurred at a Holloway’s Beach Sporting Club in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The men aged 35 and 41 were also charged with breaking and entering the Trinity Beach Sporting Club on June 13, as well as a break and enter of the Barron River Hotel at Stratford on June 29. It is alleged that the men forced entry to gaming machines and stole money at each of the offence locations. Both men are due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court later today. The 35-year-old man was also charged with unlawful possession of a drug utensil.

Liquor thefts from patios, Bentley Park:
Police would like to remind residents to secure liquor stocks kept in patio refrigerators following a number of similar thefts in the Bentley Park area over recent weeks. Residences in Templar Crescent and Calvert Close were targeted by thieves in the early hours of Thursday morning and quantities of liquor were stolen.

Break and enter, Port Douglas:
Police are investigating a break and enter offence that occurred at a Barrier Street residence overnight on Wednesday. Thieves forced entry to the unit before stealing a laptop computer from the lounge room area. Two doors at the unit were also damaged during the incident.
