Our Council should be first in line for this one, especially Peter Tabulo, Chief of City Assessement, who was recently quoted as saying when responding to townhouse development at Freshwater, "the notion of residential 1 land being pristine, detached housing is going to be a thing of the past. We are in a situation now where we are going to be under more pressure for Residential 1 infill with dual occupancies, the community is going to have to come to terms with it".

Councillor Cochrane (for once) got it right when she concluded in opposing the application said, "that the area had character and faced losings its amenity with a hotch-potch of development."

This is what is important to livable, vibrant and sustanable communites.

Many agree that the insensitive Glencorp eyesores on Clifton Road have ruined the Clifton Beach community for ever!
