On 29 October I published on CairnsBlog an article which was critical about the way news is presented in the print media.
During the course of the article, I made a number of examples of false and non-sensical story headlines – including one about Mrs Amanda Byrne, wife of the Mayor.
The comments were intended to be satirical and not to be taken seriously.
Nonetheless, I am happy to apologise to Mrs Amanda Byrne and her family for any hurt or embarrassment which these comments caused.
