Doodle 4 Google

Over 100,000 have voted for the children's Google drawing to appear on google.com.au on Australia Day.

The Doodle 4 Google competition has seen 2,500 schools take part in the competition with entries drawn by students in years 1 to 10.

Julian Sonego of Google Australia said it was difficult to pick the winner. Voting closes this Friday.

Four finalists will be announced at the end of the month that will be chosen by original Google doodler Dennis Hwang who first began customising the Google logo for special events in 1999.

The winning student will also receive a Macbook computer and $10,000 worth of technology equipment for their school.
