Just before 2pm, there was a single vehicle rollover on the Captain Cook Highway about 5km north of Ellis Beach.
There was a female driver and two children in the car and, according to Senior Constable Heidi Marek, they are believed to be out of the vehicle. Injuries are unknown at this stage. Queensland Ambulance Service are traveling to the scene.
It is unknown if the road is closed however Police are urging drivers to avoid the area if possible and to expect delays.
