Avatar movie breaks new ground. Opens in Cairns on Thursday

If you want to see the amazing new Avatar movie on 3D, you'll need to head along to Cairns Central.

James Cameron's science fiction epic, who also directed True Lies, Titantic, and Spiderman, brings to the screen a conflict on a far-away world called Pandora. Like in some parallel universe in light of the current climate talks going on, the action behind Avatar engages in a war over the planet's resources and existence.

The 3D format will be screening at Cairns Central from this Thursday. The film is being touted as a breakthrough in terms of film technology, for its development of 3D viewing and stereoscopic film making with cameras that were specially designed.

Check out the movie times. It looks a cracker, and just in time for the holidays.

This is at the top of our list of 2C Movies. Just love hi tech visual effects. I must admit to being a ScFi junkie even if I am 2 yrs older than the Baby Boomer generation.
