Visit a sustainable house on Sunday

Did you know that Sunday 13 September is Sustainable House Day?

This year Cairns and Far North Environment Centre in conjunction with Tropical Green Building Network, are coordinating the event.

Five homes in the Cairns region will open their doors for Sustainable House Day on Sunday.

  - 2 Joan Crescent, MAREEBA
  - 4263 Black Mountain Road, JULATTEN
  - 40A Portsea Crescent, KEWARRA
  - 7 Solager Street, MANOORA
  - 35 Sperring Street, MANUNDA

Houses are open to the public from 10am to 4pm. Entry is free.

This year the five houses will showcase a variety of sustainable features including both new built and renovated homes and an innovative suburban aquaponics display.
