Another fallout in the Queensland LNP camp as Federal Liberal MP Michael Johnson has been expelled from the party.
The Liberal National Party's executive asked Johnson to explain irregularities of his campaign funds.
The Australian revealed that Johnson sought to claim a $12 million commission for brokering a deal between a Chinese company and a Queensland coal company.
"At no time was I as an individual going to ever be the personal beneficiary of [the coal deal]," Michael Johnson said. "I would have received not one single cent - not one red cent.
Meanwhile, NSW Labor MP David Campbell offered his resignation as Minister for Transport and Roads after being filmed using a ministerial car to go to a male sex club in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
He apologised to his family and wife of 33 years for "letting them down."
