How a geek changed the world

8:30pm on Tuesday evening on SBS, the hour-long landmark BBC interview with Bill Gates is screening.

After 30 years at the helm, he talks about life after Microsoft, and spending his 24 billion dollars in 'retirement'.

And the numbers are out of this world. Microsoft produced 3 billionaires and around 10,000 millionaires, mostly software writers, and for 13 years in a row, Gates was the richest man in the world. He's now worth around $58 billion. Microsoft makes around a billion dollars profit a week. Here's his amazing timeline, and that Internet memo that changed the course.

If you miss it, it's on YouTube, in seven parts...
