Election week

The Americans and Kiwis both go to the polls this week.

Tomorrow, as we are fixated on Melbourne Cup fever, the US election will come to an end after 931 days and $5 billion of campaigning.

Then, on Saturday, Kiwis across the Tasman will decide between incumbent Helen Clark, whose been in power since 1999, is striving for a record fourth term in office. She's pitted against Mr Smooth, National's John Key, and it's not looking good for Helen.

I think the race across the Tasman will be much closer than Barack's battle for the White House, but I'm not a betting man.

This week will all be about winners and losers. And I'm not talking about the Queensland State Government.
