China and America - the pot and kettle of human rights. I always laugh at the Chinese response to American criticism of their human rights abuses, viz: "Yeah? What about yours? Get stuffed!"

For an antidote to the hypocritcal and largely contrived anti-China mania, so freely ventilated at present in the mass media of the 'free world', I recommend Yeti Riots by Israel Shamir.

Like most of Shamir's English language essays, it lacks a few prepositions, but his propositions are like anti-venom for our ailing global society.

Interesting how Bob Hawke cried over the deaths in Tienamin Square, and international community boycotted Moscow Olympics yet Rudd and other world leaders don't think deaths in Tibet rate condemnation. Shame, shame, shame.
