The 1500-page application covers the construction of the precinct in full detail.
Council says this is the first key milestone of the Commonwealth Funding Agreement and the first substantial payment.
''The development application had been a massive project in itself,'' Council's CEO Lyn Russell says. “It is the culmination of years of work by expert staff and consultants and pulls together an enormous amount of detail about the Precinct.''
“The DA offers an appreciation for the scale of this development and the degree of specialisation needed to build a state-of-the-art entertainment facility. It’s now up to Ports North to assess the application and hopefully provide final approval.”

So to receive a State Govt. subsidy we the people all have to contribute tens of millions to infrastructure that is the "State" responsibility.
Sounds like the spouse who returned from shopping bragging about saving $100 off a $500 item that they really didn't need.
