The Captain Cook Highway, and all access roads, are open to the north of Cairns.
Those who had a day away from the office, have to get their lazy butt back to work today, as all roads are open after yesterday's surface flooding. The Captain Cook Highway is open in both directions from Cairns to the Northern Beaches.
Access roads to Machans Beach, Holloways Beach and Yorkeys Knob are open. Kamerunga Road at the Freshwater roundabout is open.
And be aware, as Paul Drabble has just informed me, look out for potholes, especially at night. They are full of water and just look like normal road, but a hole in road could swallow a Getz!
