As the Cairns Festival heads towards the finish line, visual arts students from across Far North Queensland will be centre stage at the Energy Art exhibition, opening at the Tanks tonight at 6pm.
There'll be artworks in all mediums, created by 140 students from 23 schools across the region, marking the expo's 17th year, last year attracting 5,000.
Tonight, this year’s winners of Creative Generation Awards for Excellence in Visual Art and Design will be announced, and their work will tour Queensland as part of a travelling exhibition next year.
- The free exhibition will run till Friday October 1 at the Tanks Arts Centre, 46 Collins Avenue, Edge Hill.
