World record attempt failure, but inaugural Cairns Uke festival a huge hit

The previous record to break was 851 Ukulele players, held by the London Ukulele Festival, however Cairns turned out a very respectful 677.

There was an incredible line-up of performers such as James Hill from Canada, Daniel Ho and Jason Arimoto of Hawaii, Matt "The Jumping Flea" Darlberg from the good ol USA, and our own local Hannah Walker.

Glenn Saggers filmed this great tribute...
