A chess match and here comes the Bishop

The deputy leader of the Federal Liberal party, Julie Bishop, was in town tonight.

The Cairns branch of the LNP, hosted a function for what now seems a continual parade of senior politicians on both sides, as the election date announcement nears.

Julie Bishop addressed a packed crowd at Hotel Cairns.

Katrina Breen said she had lots to chat about. But then again, that's what girls do when they get together.

    Julie Bishop - she with the big pupilled, unblinking eyes. Always reckoned she had a stash of good hooch somewhere........
