Fatality at Tully highway intersection

The Bruce Highway intersection at Tully was closed in both directions following a fatal car crash, just after 11am this morning.
The accident happened between a truck and a car at the intersection of the Bruce Highway and Butler Street, that turns into Tully township.
The female passenger of the car, believed to be in her 20s, died at the scene, whereas the male truck driver has been taken to Innisfail hospital with injuries.

    Susan, I think you meant to say "mad" but regardless, you are right.....

    the south road from Cairns to Cardwell is bloody horrible.....even the stretch from Gordonvale to Innisfail is frightening....... I avoid it at all costs.

    Everyone is in such a huge rush as if their life depended on getting there or somewhere in 10 minutes flat.

    I think you'd have to agree that at least 90% of all "accidents" are entirely preventable.
