I got this rather inspirational video link from the Mayor of Cairns during the week, and thought I'd share.
Maybe Val wants us to all take a better look at how lazy we've become as a society. If that's the case, I totally agree. Nothing gets up my nose more that people hogging an escalator,, standing still, and not allowing anyone past.
Why on earth anyone stands still on these automated stairways and conveyor belts, always amuses me how the sub-conscious goes to sleep in some homo-sapiens.
Could be a bit noisy, but I love the idea.
ReplyDeleteI'm a stair user by choice and I do applaud Cairns Central for providing ramps for trolley pushers who want to actually use the ability to exercise...not to mention easier wheelchair access.
I'm sure if we put our heads together we could find a way to promote using the stairs.
