Drink drive charge, Cairns:​
Cairns police were called to a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred at about 11.45pm yesterday near the intersection of Mulgrave Road and Sandown Close, Woree. The 36-year-old Bentley Park driver has been charged with one count of driving under the influence with an alleged breath alcohol concentration of .303%. The driver will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on November 26.

Assault charges, Cairns:​
Cairns police were called to a disturbance outside a Shields Street, Cairns nightclub at about 12.30am today. It is alleged a security officer attempted to break up a fight before the participants turned on him. Whilst he was on the ground it is alleged a woman has kicked him a number of times. A second security officer was also allegedly assaulted when he came to the aid of the other officer. A 21-year-old Cairns man was charged with one count of drunk on licensed premises. A 22-year-old man was charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm and willful damage, whilst a 23-year-old woman was charged with one count of common assault. All will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today.
