UK Labour Party loses control

Following yesterday's election, not a single Council in the UK has a Labour majority. The UK Labour Party lost control of the four remaining local Councils.

Kiwiblog reports...

  • Labour got just 23% - 5% behind the Lib Dems on 28%. Labour lost 272 seats of the 445 it had left.
  • There are 1,476 Conservative Councillors
  • There are 159 Labour Councillors
  • The Lib Dems have 473.
