Here's a stunning photo of the 103 year old Cairns Yacht Club building. It was taken just a few days ago. You can see it surrounded by tall concrete castles, blocking off access and views to the lovely Trinity Inlet, from the city. The statement in yellow above, came from the Cairns Port Authority report, on the Trinity Inlet Plan.
The signatories were The Cairns Port Authority, the current Queensland State Government and the former Kevin Byrne-led Cairns City Council.
There certainly is something rotten in the State of Queensland (with apologies to William Shakespeare).
The photo, dwarfed and almost shadowed by highrise, shows that someone up there feels it's worth shining a light on.
