The girl who silenced the UN for 5 minutes

Here's Severn Cullis-Suzuki, daughter of the famous Dr David Suzuki. In 1992, when she was just 12, she addressed the UN's Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, and reminded world leaders how their actions or inactions would ultimately affect everyone. Watch her powerful speech that received a standing ovation.

  1. The girl who silenced the UN for 5 minutes?

I think they have been damned silent for far longer on many other things?
