Cyclone 1 - Guba on the way

As at 4pm today (Friday the 16th November), Cyclone Guba is now upgraded to a category 3.

It's about 390 km east northeast of Lockhart River and 480 km north northeast of Cooktown.

It's currently near stationary but is expected to drift southward for the next day or two while slowly intensifying.

More updates.

  1. It has been around and in the same area for too long. I reckon it will turn into a windy rain depression soon and may not even reach the coast.

  2. The biggest danger in a cyclone is the people who make these sort of really well rationalised predictions.
