We have the bulbs, we have too many green bags, as most of the population does, we are still wondering why all plastic bags are not made bio-degradable (we use them for rubbish and refuse to buy the packaged ones, who needs scented rubbish anyway?), we have no dryer, no dish-washer and no bleach in the house, a compost heap, a worm farm and chooks. If I can do all that (and admittedly, it's not a huge contribution) in the middle of suburbia (we live in Bentley Park) there are no excuses for everyone else!Leigh Dall'Osto (via Facebook)http://www.facebook.com/leigh.dallostonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878592054777492431.post-47560780012442581132010-06-21T13:30:35.884+10:002010-06-21T13:30:35.884+10:00"Leigh Dall'Osto (via Facebook) said...

Teach your kids to eat real food instead of processed crap and save them from being exposed to the brainwashing (cross promoting) of these hidious multi nationals and the hideous culture they represent.Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14217897938804789667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878592054777492431.post-68486542244665338492010-06-21T09:50:19.447+10:002010-06-21T09:50:19.447+10:00Paul... it's not necessary to posit 'good ...Paul... it's not necessary to posit 'good guys' or 'bad guys', whatever that really means.

Check out the available facts for yourself.

There weren't any referenced facts in the email published in the article. So it's a bit hard to check them out.

There were, however, numerous additional references in the article I linked to. They suggested that the email author/s told outright lies.

If you think the reference I cited - or its secondary references - are inaccurate, by all means provide contrary references if you can find them.

People can then make their own mind up, based on information they can check out themselves, making their own assessment as to its credibility.

I have no problems with people raising objections to any mainstream theory or belief. That's how science and rational debate advance.

But the debating process promoted by some opponents of the current mainstream scientific view on climate change is no debating process at all: they tend to brandish labels, sneers and factoids taken wholly out of context.

It's not good enough, not when the future wellbeing of humanity is potentially at stake.Syd Walkerhttp://sydwalker.info/blog/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878592054777492431.post-45058953023024040572010-06-21T07:27:11.099+10:002010-06-21T07:27:11.099+10:00Funding from the oil companies on one side? Mind you we only go to mc donalds twice a year....but still, what rubbish. Why do kids toys come with all those twisty ties, two layers of plastic and are made with cheap rubbish that breaks after an hr of use by a 4 yr old? Why are my kids bombarded every Saturday morning on tv by the 'must have' toy of the year!!?? Thankfully, my children know better and are trying to reduce their own carbon footprint by recycling their old toys, prefering books to toys and by following me to shops like 'The Green House' to search for goodies.Leigh Dall'Osto (via Facebook)http://www.facebook.com/leigh.dallostonoreply@blogger.com
